Background

Pooja is an associate in the firm’s Corporate group. Pooja maintains a broad transactional practice in general corporate and commercial matters, mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, financings, corporate reorganizations and dispositions.

Prior to joining Owens Wright, Pooja practiced as an associate focusing on commercial, employment and construction litigation. Pooja completed her law degree abroad at the University of London (City) where she was actively involved with the business law clinic advising small business clients and tech start-ups on a range of corporate, commercial, employment and intellectual property matters. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2019.

Pooja continues to be an active community volunteer in both legal and non-legal circles. She currently serves on the board of Young Women in Law as a Co-Director of Sponsorship and on the mentoring committee of Women Law’s Association of Ontario as a mentor and committee member.
