Background

Adam S. Lebow is a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Group, where he practises with a primary focus on condominium, subdivision and real estate development law, advising builders and developers throughout the full lifecycle of residential, commercial, and mixed-use development projects.

Adam regularly acts for developers from the initial acquisition of development lands through project structuring, condominium creation, and registration, and through to final closing with purchasers. His practice includes advising on the legal structuring of condominium developments, preparation and coordination of disclosure documentation, agreements of purchase and sale, negotiation of development-related agreements, and registration of plans of condominium. He works closely with development teams, consultants, and other stakeholders to manage the legal aspects of the development process efficiently and with a clear understanding of commercial objectives and timelines.

Adam has experience advising on a broad range of condominium formats and development structures, including low-rise and high-rise residential condominiums, mixed-use condominium projects, commercial / industrial condominiums and phased condominiums. He also has experience with shared facility agreements and cost sharing agreements.

In addition to condominium development matters, Adam has experience with subdivision registrations and also advises developers and property owners on commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions and a broad range of related transactional issues.

Adam is valued by clients for his practical, detail-oriented approach and his ability to keep complex  projects moving forward, particularly during the registration and closing phases. He is known for his responsiveness, providing clear, business-focused advice and for working collaboratively with project teams to anticipate and address issues before they impact schedules or deliverables.

Adam was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2013 and has practised real estate law since that time. He joined Owens Wright in 2014 after practising at a Toronto law firm. Adam earned his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor, where he received the R. Lawrence DeShield Memorial Award in Municipal Law and the Max N. Mousseau, Q.C.
