Background

Roey Kert joined the firm in 1987 and is a partner of the firm. Roey received his undergraduate degree, a B.Sc. (Hons) in business administration from Boston University in 1973 and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Roey received his LL.B. from York University (Osgoode Hall) in 1976.

Roey has extensive experience in structuring shareholders’ arrangements, real estate syndications, condominium development, commercial mortgage financing, power of sale, work-outs on behalf of mortgagees and receivers and construction contracts.  His current practice focuses principally on land based rights for utilities and in particular, for telecommunications carriers and service providers. His recent work involves:

Professional and Community Affiliations

Roey has been a speaker at several professional real estate conferences including the Law Society of Upper Canada and the International Shopping Centre Conference. Roey is involved in various charitable endeavours including, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, The Jewish National Fund of Canada and Baycrest.  Roey is a member of Oakdale Golf and Country Club and is married with three grown children.
