Background

Doug Owens is a founding Partner of the firm. Doug received his Bachelor of Laws Degree in 1976 from the University of Western Ontario and obtained his undergraduate degree from Trent University.

Specializing in real estate matters, Doug’s experience includes acting for investors with respect to the acquisition, development, financing and sale of industrial, condominium and commercial properties, office buildings and infill developments. Doug has developed an extensive golf course development and financing practice coupled with extensive commercial leasing experience acting for national companies including those in the retail and in the motion picture sectors. In addition, Doug provides service for institutional lenders with respect to commercial/residential underwriting and commercial mortgage remedies and is experienced in all areas of real estate law.
